CUPS-PDF for Mac OS X
Tonight the lifesaver was CUPS-PDF for Mac. I was creating some diagrams in a Java application and needed to get them printed. In the print menu there wasn't the usual "Save to PDF" i like so much.
One thing i use in Linux if cups-pdf. It does the exact same thing a virtual pdf printer does. So i rushed to look into the config files on the Mac, thinking i could do the same. It missed the cups-pdf module.
Trying to get the stuff done, a quick web search revealed CUPS-PDF for Mac. Everything went smooth, just download, install and go to your printer setup in System Preferences. Pretty easy.
The printed pdfs end up in the Desktop in a folder called cups-pfd (all is automatic). If a urge to change its place, takes over you, it can be configured under /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf.
Diagrams printed, off to bed! Thank you www.codepoetry.net! :)
